About the Role
Capital Health Careers is seeking an Associate Charge Nurse Manager for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Wellington Regional Hospital in Wellington, New Zealand. This permanent part-time position operates on a 0.7 FTE basis with rostered and rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the NICU team to ensure high-quality patient care is delivered consistently.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement clinical policies and procedures.
- Mentor and guide nursing staff in professional development, focusing on skills enhancement and knowledge acquisition.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient care outcomes and provide feedback for improvement.
Requirements
- A current registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse (R.N.) with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
- Demonstrated experience in neonatal intensive care nursing, including management roles.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
- Familiarity with health policies and regulations relevant to NICU operations.
