Asset Protection Associate

Walmart is hiring a full-time Asset Protection Associate in Woodland, Yolo County to protect our store, employees, and customers. This role is essential to our loss prevention efforts and maintaining a secure shopping environment.

What This Role Involves

As an Asset Protection Associate, you'll be the eyes and ears of our store's security operations. You'll work to identify and prevent loss, monitor store activity, and respond to incidents that impact our business. This position combines vigilance with a customer-service mindset—you'll protect Walmart's assets while maintaining a welcoming environment for shoppers and supporting your team members.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor store floor activity and surveillance systems to detect and prevent loss
• Observe customer and employee conduct to identify unusual behavior or policy violations
• Respond to suspected theft incidents and security concerns
• Conduct investigations and document incidents thoroughly for management review
• Protect merchandise and store assets through floor presence and awareness
• Communicate security observations with team members and management
• Support loss prevention initiatives and follow all security protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid state-issued identification
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong communication and observational skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Comfort using computer systems and security technology
• Professionalism and sound judgment in handling sensitive situations
