What This Role Involves

The role of an Aged Care Support Worker involves providing compassionate and person-centered care to older adults. You will assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transportation to appointments, social outings, and shopping trips. The ideal candidate will be a caring individual who can build strong relationships with clients while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks as per dietary requirements
• Administer medications under supervision (if required)
• Provide transportation to appointments, social outings, and shopping trips
• Ensure a safe living environment for clients
• Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
• Document client care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality

What We're Looking For

• A caring and compassionate individual with a genuine interest in helping older adults
• A willingness to learn about the unique needs of aged care clients
• Basic first aid knowledge (training provided)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• A valid driver’s license for transportation duties
• Previous experience in aged care or related field is advantageous but not mandatory
