Advanced Practice Provider – Urgent Care – Cherokee (part-time)

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider - Urgent Care - Cherokee (part-time) to join our pediatric urgent care team in Chamblee, DeKalb County, Georgia. This is an on-site clinical opportunity to deliver compassionate, family-centered care to children and adolescents.

About the Role

As an Advanced Practice Provider in our urgent care setting, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients presenting with acute, non-emergent conditions. Working alongside physicians, nurses, and support staff, you will help ensure every young patient and their family receives timely, high-quality treatment within a leading children's healthcare network.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage infants, children, and teens seeking urgent care services
• Perform focused physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic testing
• Develop and carry out treatment plans for acute illnesses and minor injuries
• Educate families on care instructions, follow-up, and preventive health
• Document patient encounters accurately and collaborate across the care team
• Support a safe, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Credentialing as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, as required for an Advanced Practice Provider role
• Active licensure to practice in the state of Georgia
• Clinical training or experience suited to pediatric and urgent care patients
• Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to caring for children and families
• Ability to work the variable shifts, days, and hours associated with urgent care scheduling
