Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our growing practice in Workington. As a key member of our team, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, managing the accounts preparation process from start to finish while mentoring junior team members and building strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end accounts preparation for a diverse range of clients
- Mentor and develop junior staff within the team
- Build and maintain positive client relationships
- Ensure all financial reporting is accurate and timely
- Support the implementation of new systems and processes to improve efficiency
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within an accounting firm
- A degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent professional qualification
- Chartered Accountant (ACA) or Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) status preferred but not essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges
