Accountant Supervisor

Prestage seeks an experienced Accountant Supervisor to lead accounting operations and oversee a dedicated team in Fremont, Nebraska. This is a full-time position where you'll manage critical financial functions while mentoring accounting staff and ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a seasoned accounting professional ready to step into a supervisory role and make a direct impact on our finance team. As Accountant Supervisor, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage staff performance, and collaborate with senior management on financial planning and reporting. This position offers the opportunity to lead a team, drive process improvements, and contribute to the financial health of Prestage across our Fremont location.

What You'll Do

• Supervise accounting staff and delegate accounting tasks effectively
• Review, verify, and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close procedures
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to maintain high performance standards
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and controls
• Coordinate with other departments on financial matters and budget forecasting

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
