About the Role

Kreyco connects exceptional teachers with schools throughout our national preK-12 education network. This part-time teaching position offers the flexibility to design engaging science instruction while building meaningful relationships with students in your Hawthorne-area classroom. You'll work alongside school partners who value thoughtful pedagogy and student-centered learning in chemistry or physics.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deliver science curriculum aligned with state standards in chemistry, physics, or both
• Create hands-on, inquiry-based lessons that make abstract concepts tangible for secondary students
• Assess student understanding through formative and summative evaluations
• Maintain organized classroom records and communicate progress to students and families
• Collaborate with school leadership and fellow educators to support student success
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs and foster an inclusive classroom environment

What We're Looking For

• Valid NJ teaching certification in chemistry, physics, or general science (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated expertise and passion for teaching chemistry, physics, or earth science at the secondary level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, collaborative school culture
• Flexibility and responsiveness in a part-time capacity
• Experience building partnerships with diverse student populations
