About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Team Leader to join our hotel team at Crowne Plaza Christchurch. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience, from the quality of service to the taste of our food.

• Oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operations including restaurant, bar, and catering services
• Ensure high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction are maintained at all times
• Manage a team of food and beverage staff effectively, providing training and development opportunities where necessary
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability within the F&B department
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and cross-departmental support

What You'll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team that delivers outstanding service in our hotel's dining venues. Your duties include:

• Managing daily operations of the food and beverage outlets to ensure compliance with IHG standards and local regulations
• Handling customer complaints and ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively
• Controlling costs, managing inventory, and maintaining financial records for the F&B department
• Participating in recruitment, interviewing, and training of new staff members to ensure a well-trained team

Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Food and Beverage Team Leader or similar position within the hospitality industry
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices in the hospitality sector
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• A proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service
