What This Role Involves

The Director Infrastructure & Works will oversee all aspects of the council's infrastructure and works projects. Key responsibilities include managing capital works programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of professionals to deliver high-quality services.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for infrastructure development and maintenance.
• Manage the budget and resources allocated to infrastructure projects.
• Oversee construction and maintenance activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to infrastructure works.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
• Proven experience as a Director of Infrastructure & Works or a similar role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
• Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure project management, including planning, budgeting, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
