The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Vice President of Governmental and Community Affairs at Saginaw Valley State University. This full-time role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our mission through administrative and operational support in the Governmental and Community Affairs department.
What You'll Do
The primary responsibilities include managing executive-office workflow, coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence. Additionally, you will assist with government affairs initiatives and community engagement programs. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent organizational skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in administrative support roles
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Affinity for governmental affairs and community relations
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
