Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team at Animates Vetcare. As a key member of the grooming salon, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of pets through professional grooming services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of pets in your community while enjoying a full-time role with a dedicated team.
Core Duties
- Perform high-quality grooming services on dogs, including bathing, trimming, and styling
- Ensure all equipment and tools are clean and properly maintained
- Follow pet owners' instructions regarding specific grooming needs and preferences
- Keep the salon area clean and organized to maintain a professional environment
- Assist in training new groomers as needed
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Dog Groomer or similar role
- Knowledge of canine anatomy, coat types, and grooming techniques
- Able to work full-time hours in our salon located in Hokowhitu, Palmerston North, New Zealand, New Zealand
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with pet owners
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
