About the Role
We are currently seeking a Mower Operator to join our team at Green by Nature NZ. As a trusted partner of the Queenstown Lakes District Council, we maintain parks, playgrounds, gardens, infrastructure, and public spaces in Wanaka, Queenstown, and surrounding areas. This role is full-time and requires a commitment to keeping these regions clean, green, and thriving.
What You'll Do
- Mow and trim grass and other vegetation using lawn mowers and trimmers
- Perform regular maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Assist in the preparation of work areas for maintenance activities
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed while operating machinery
- Participate in team efforts to maintain high standards of cleanliness and greenery
What You Bring
- A valid Forklift or Mower Operator license is required
- Previous experience as a Mower Operator, Groundskeeper, or similar role would be advantageous
- A strong commitment to environmental stewardship and community service
- Excellent communication skills for working with team members and the public
- A clean driving record (as this position may involve some driving)
