What This Role Involves
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The role involves maintaining and enhancing the beauty of various public spaces, including parks, reserves, playgrounds, and other green areas within the Horowhenua District. Responsibilities include mowing lawns, planting and caring for gardens, pruning trees and shrubs, and ensuring all areas are well-maintained to meet high standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Mowing and trimming lawns and grassed areas
- Planting, cultivating, and maintaining flower beds and gardens
- Pruning trees and shrubs as required
- Applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments to promote plant health
- Clearing debris and litter from public spaces
- Maintaining equipment and tools in good working order
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a reliable individual with experience in gardening or related fields. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, be able to follow instructions, and take pride in their work. A valid driver's license is required as you will need to travel between different sites.
