Habitat Horticulture, a locally owned horticultural company based in Santa Clara, is seeking a full-time Interior Plant Technician and Living Wall Gardener to transform urban spaces with thriving interior plantscapes and vertical garden installations.
About the Role
As an Interior Plant Technician and Living Wall Gardener, you'll combine hands-on expertise with technical knowledge to design, install, and maintain some of Santa Clara's most vibrant green installations. You'll work directly on-site, ensuring living walls and interior gardens stay healthy, beautiful, and thriving while enhancing the spaces where people live and work.
What You'll Do
- Design and install vertical gardens and living wall systems tailored to client spaces and aesthetic goals
- Select plant species suited to specific indoor environments and light conditions
- Install and manage irrigation and nutrient delivery systems for optimal plant health
- Perform regular maintenance visits and ongoing health monitoring
- Diagnose and treat plant issues, pest problems, and environmental stress
- Consult with clients on plant selection, care, design options, and maintenance
- Maintain records of installations, maintenance schedules, and client preferences

- Proven experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture
- Strong horticultural knowledge: plant species, growing conditions, and care practices
- Ability to work safely at heights with proper equipment and tools
