Plant Manager

CalPortland is hiring a Plant Manager to lead operations at our Canyon Crest facility in Riverside County. This is a full-time role overseeing a ready-mix concrete plant where you'll drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our commitment to sustainable construction materials.

About the Role

As Plant Manager at our Canyon Crest location, you'll be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and control of plant operations. This role requires hands-on leadership of a production facility focused on manufacturing high-quality ready-mix concrete products. You'll oversee plant performance, manage resources, and ensure our facility meets the operational standards that customers depend on.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily plant operations, including production scheduling, equipment maintenance, and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and quality specifications
• Lead and develop plant staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Monitor production efficiency and implement process improvements to optimize output and reduce costs
• Oversee quality control measures to deliver concrete products that meet customer specifications
• Support CalPortland's sustainability initiatives and environmental responsibility practices
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with logistics and customer service teams

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing ready-mix concrete plants or comparable heavy manufacturing operations
• Strong knowledge of concrete production processes, equipment, and quality standards
• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing production teams
• Understanding of safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements
• Solid problem-solving skills and ability to drive operational improvements
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
