Manager Materials

Generac is seeking a Manager Materials to join our team in Oshkosh, WI. This full-time position offers the opportunity to drive materials management and supply chain excellence for a leading designer and manufacturer of power generation equipment.

As Manager Materials at Generac in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, you'll oversee the strategic planning and execution of our materials operations. This role is central to ensuring efficient inventory management, procurement processes, and supply chain coordination that support our manufacturing and distribution goals. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Direct materials management strategies, including inventory planning, forecasting, and optimization
• Oversee procurement processes and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and on-time delivery
• Manage warehouse operations, inventory systems, and stock rotation to maintain accuracy and efficiency
• Lead, mentor, and develop materials management team members
• Monitor key performance metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports for senior leadership
• Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, and finance teams to align materials operations with business objectives
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs

What You Bring

• Proven experience in materials management, supply chain operations, or inventory management
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities with experience directing staff
• Knowledge of procurement practices, vendor management, and supply chain best practices
• Proficiency with ERP systems, materials management software, or inventory tracking systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
