About the Role
As a Painter on Generac's 2nd shift, you'll apply protective and finish coatings to components and assemblies, ensuring every piece meets the durability and appearance standards our customers rely on. This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, working 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM at our Beaver Dam facility. The Painter I starting rate is $19.75 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces and apply coatings, paint, and finishes to parts and assembled units
- Operate and maintain painting equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect finished work to confirm coverage, color, and quality specifications are met
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines
- Collaborate with shift teammates to meet production targets during 2nd shift hours
Qualifications
- Availability to work the full 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM
- Attention to detail with a commitment to consistent, high-quality finishes
- Ability to follow safety procedures and handle painting materials responsibly
- Comfortable performing hands-on, physical work in a manufacturing environment
- Prior painting or coating experience is helpful but not required to start as a Painter I
