Assistant Manager I

As an Assistant Manager I at Dollartree in IA–Sioux City, you'll be part of the management team driving daily store success. You'll work alongside the store manager to maintain operational excellence, oversee team performance, and create a welcoming environment for both customers and associates. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule store associates, ensuring adequate coverage and strong team engagement
• Monitor store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and inventory accuracy
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting
• Support loss prevention initiatives and adherence to company policies
• Train new team members and provide constructive feedback to develop skills
• Coordinate with the store manager on sales targets and operational goals

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven retail or customer service experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise
