Evolve, an executive search firm specialising in hedge funds and quantitative technology, is seeking an experienced Executive Search Consultant to join its growing team in Milton Keynes. This full-time role offers the opportunity to operate at scale within a rapidly expanding firm that has achieved significant market traction in under a decade.

About the Role

You'll manage retained and contingent search mandates targeting senior positions across the hedge fund and quantitative technology sectors. You'll inherit access to a mature client base, active opportunities and documented search frameworks that have proven successful. Your remit spans the entire recruitment cycle—from initial client engagement through candidate identification, evaluation, negotiation and successful placement—with the goal of becoming a trusted strategic partner to both client sponsors and candidates alike.

Core Duties

• Conduct end-to-end executive search assignments, from scope definition to placement confirmation
• Identify, screen and assess senior-level candidates using targeted headhunting and landscape analysis
• Develop and leverage a network of high-calibre candidates within your specialist markets
• Act as a trusted advisor, offering market insights and strategic guidance to clients
• Negotiate candidate offers and manage the closing process with professionalism and discretion
• Maintain and cultivate long-term business relationships with key client and candidate stakeholders

Requirements

• Substantive background in executive or retained search recruitment
• Proven ability to manage search mandates from initiation to successful placement
• Track record of generating revenue and maintaining client partnerships over time
• Competency in headhunting, market intelligence gathering and senior-level recruitment closing
• Demonstrated ability to establish credibility in new markets and sectors
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build influential business relationships
• Background in finance, law, medical practice, HR, regulatory compliance or professional services
• Prior involvement in US-based searches is beneficial but not a prerequisite
