Phoenix Software is recruiting an Engineering & Innovation Manager for a full-time remote role. This is a strategic position perfect for an experienced technical leader ready to drive innovation and build high-performing engineering teams from our Pocklington office.

Position Summary

As Engineering & Innovation Manager at Phoenix Software, you will lead engineering teams to deliver innovative software solutions whilst working flexibly from anywhere. Based in Pocklington but fully remote, you'll balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight, championing new technologies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives on both developing talent and driving technical advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing career development and clear technical direction
• Drive innovation initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies for integration into product strategy
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and business stakeholders on technical roadmaps
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, deployment, and system architecture
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity
• Communicate technical progress, risks, and resource requirements to senior leadership
• Cultivate a culture of experimentation, learning, and sustainable engineering practices
