Client Solutions Director / Solution Design Architect

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential marketing organization seeking a Client Solutions Director / Solution Design Architect based in Berlin. In this role, you will lead the operational and solution design elements of new client pitches, presenting directly to senior stakeholders including CMOs and marketing leadership. You'll formulate solutions in real time during pitches and workshops, staying commercially sharp under pressure.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading requirement gathering and analysis with stakeholders to define accurate scope, cost, and risk for new client accounts
• Defining operating model principles including roles, governance, workflows, and handoffs that align to client goals
• Designing solutions across advertising and marketing channels, leveraging your understanding of media, data, creative, and technology integration
• Building and validating commercial models including team shapes, asset-based rate models, and outcome-based structures
• Acting as the bridge between clients, commercial teams, technology teams, and delivery teams to ensure alignment
• Translating complex technical and commercial concepts into clear narratives for senior, non-technical audiences
• Analyzing data to support decision-making and defining measurement frameworks for new clients
• Ensuring smooth transitions from pitch to implementation so deliverables match what was proposed
• Regular business travel across EMEA for client pitches and workshops

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• 10-15 years of experience in solution design, consulting, strategy, operations, or similar roles within advertising, marketing, media, or marketing technology
• Fluency in German or Spanish is required
• Proven track record presenting to and influencing C-suite and senior marketing stakeholders (CMOs or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience building and validating pricing or commercial models such as resourcing models, rate cards, and outcome-based structures
• Process-driven mindset with ability to map, challenge, and redesign workflows and operating models
• Strong working knowledge of advertising and marketing channels including paid media, social, programmatic, search, CRM, and creative production
• Technical fluency in martech, adtech, data, and platforms sufficient to lead credible client conversations
• Quick-thinking and resilient, comfortable formulating solutions in high-pressure situations
• Strong analytical skills with ability to transform data into actionable insights
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe and occasionally further afield

Desirable experience:

• Contributing to new business wins, RFPs, and pitch processes
• Working in agency, consultancy, or in-house marketing transformation environments
• Managing global or multi-market clients and remote, cross-functional teams

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract with a view to extend, based primarily remote in Germany with regular travel for client engagements.
