Senior Technical Onboarding Engineer – KI-Telefonassistent (x/f/m)

Responsibilities

We are representing a leading healthtech organization in Berlin seeking a Senior Technical Onboarding Engineer specializing in AI-powered phone assistant systems. In this role, you will be at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge voice technology in complex healthcare environments.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Complex system implementation: Lead the most technically demanding installations and configurations of AI phone assistant systems for major clients, including intricate phone system integrations and escalated technical cases
• Large-scale data migration: Manage and execute complex data migrations from external practice management systems, transforming recurring patterns into scalable standard processes
• Enterprise customer liaison: Serve as the primary technical contact for large practices and hospital systems during strategic or technically complex onboarding projects, providing clarity when solutions or responsibilities are initially unclear
• Team mentorship: Coach and mentor colleagues on system configurations and complex onboarding scenarios, elevating the technical capabilities of the entire team
• Internal technical consultation: Act as the go-to technical expert for sales and deployment teams on strategic questions related to AI phone assistant implementations
• Process standardization: Define best practices, playbooks, and training materials for phone assistant setup to ensure consistency and quality across the team
• Systems integration: Design scalable integrations between practice management software and AI phone systems, configuring interfaces that are sustainable for future implementations
• Cross-functional project leadership: Lead initiatives spanning multiple teams with lasting impact beyond individual cases
• Data-driven optimization: Leverage operational data and customer feedback to prioritize improvements and validate solutions

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Several years of experience in technical onboarding, customer success, or technical support, ideally with complex systems such as phone systems, APIs, or AI-powered products
• Strong technical depth: Solid SQL skills, confident handling of APIs, IT infrastructure, networks and VPNs, plus experience with complex phone system integrations
• Mentoring background: Track record of training, coaching, or systematically sharing knowledge with colleagues
• Comfort with ambiguity: Ability to create clarity and structure when responsibilities or solutions are initially unclear, especially with enterprise customers
• Stakeholder management: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (sales, deployment) and balancing competing priorities
• Advanced communication skills: Clear and professional communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in enterprise settings, via phone and online meetings
• Languages: Fluent German and strong English (minimum C1) for handling complex technical and strategic discussions
• Process improvement mindset: Demonstrated experience independently improving or scaling processes with measurable impact

Beneficial experience (or willingness to learn):

• Programming experience in JavaScript and/or Python with advanced SQL database skills
• Knowledge of patient management or EHR systems
• Experience building training programs, playbooks, or internal knowledge bases
• Experience with SaaS solutions and AI tools in operational contexts
