Senior Oracle Data Engineer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential public-sector IT organization seeking a Senior Oracle Data Engineer to take technical ownership of demanding database solutions. You will develop performant, secure applications built on Oracle technologies and provide leadership to the development team.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Developing and advancing database solutions using Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Designing and implementing integration processes with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Taking technical responsibility for requirements and deliverables within project contexts
• Actively supporting and coordinating the developer team
• Quickly learning new technologies and problem domains
• Using Jira and Confluence for planning, documentation, and tracking development work
• Working with Git and common development tools such as Visual Studio Code
• Moderating discussions and communicating technical content to diverse audiences
• Confidently liaising with project management and end clients

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate brings deep Oracle expertise and can communicate technical concepts effectively across teams:

• Very strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Foundational experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
• Practical experience with Jira and Confluence
• Confident use of Git and development environments like Visual Studio Code
• Proven ability to assume technical responsibility and ownership
• Excellent moderation, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to translate technical content for non-technical stakeholders
• Confident presence in client and project leadership meetings
• Very good German language skills (C1 level) and good English proficiency

Nice to have:

• Data Vault data modeling experience
• Containerization with Podman
• Oracle Analytics Server knowledge
• Oracle APEX development experience
