Data Product Manager – Core Data Product (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global retail organization that is accelerating its digital transformation. Our talent team is seeking a Data Product Manager to join their Core Data Product team within the Data Center of Excellence, based in Paris.

In this role, you will define the vision and roadmap for a critical data product while indirectly leading a team of data engineers. Your mission will be to make data accessible and trustworthy, enabling business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions at scale.

Responsibilities

• Product Strategy and Vision: Design and drive the roadmap for data products including algorithms, dashboards, data APIs, and AI platforms. Ensure data initiatives align with strategic business objectives and identify use cases where data creates competitive advantage.
• Data Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure robust data pipelines and reliable sources. Guarantee data quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance (GDPR). Democratize data access across the organization for non-technical users.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate business needs into technical specifications for Data Scientists and Data Engineers. Educate stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, and Leadership on data potential and limitations. Lead agile development of data models through sprints, A/B testing, and rapid iterations.
• Performance Analysis and Measurement: Establish KPIs for product success and model performance (accuracy, recall, data latency). Measure concrete ROI of implemented data projects.
• Ethics and Security: Ensure algorithms are unbiased and respect organizational ethics. Secure and control access to sensitive data.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of Product Management experience in an international and technical context
• Strong background in cloud and data-related challenges with solid knowledge of product lifecycle management
• User-centric approach with mastery of Design Thinking; ability to translate complex business needs into smooth user journeys
• Analytical mindset comfortable with technical data and complex calculations
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data validation and automation
• Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
• Knowledge of AI/ML integration and ability to manage predictive models
• Understanding of data governance frameworks and compliance (GDPR, CCPA)
• Familiarity with real-time data integration (APIs, Kafka, streaming)
• Experience with data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake
• Strong command of agile methodologies and backlog management
• Fluency in English required; French proficiency strongly preferred
