CX Apprentice – Claims, Post Dispatch & Returns

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce technology client in their search for a CX Apprentice focused on Claims, Post Dispatch, and Returns. This is a structured apprenticeship opportunity based in Northwich where you will support critical post-purchase operations.

In this role, you will assist three key functional areas:

Post Dispatch Communications:

• Act as the voice of the customer, helping improve delivery journey touchpoints for outbound and inbound shipments
• Support day-to-day management of third-party communications providers and help manage courier delays to reduce customer contact
• Assist with onboarding new couriers, clients, sites, and carrier services, setting up appropriate communication flows
• Support regular performance reviews by maintaining metrics and reporting, and help communicate results to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless customer experience

Carrier Claims:

• Support timely and accurate submission of claims to carriers, including all required documentation
• Maintain accurate records of claims and outcomes
• Help establish claims processes for new couriers and clients
• Support analysis of claims data to identify opportunities to reduce rejections
• Work with Finance to reconcile agreed claim values and progress outstanding payments

Returns Management:

• Support day-to-day relationships with third-party returns providers, acting as a point of contact for queries
• Assist with onboarding new clients and setting up rate cards
• Support regular reviews of returns performance and help raise and resolve issues
• Collaborate with teams to support competitive return costs and identify revenue opportunities

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking candidates who demonstrate:

• A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
• Confidence communicating with internal teams and external third-party providers
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks
• Comfort working with data and spreadsheets to track performance
• GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4 or above in English and Maths, or working towards Functional Skills Level 2
• Ability to proactively manage your own learning and meet course deadlines

This is a Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship with an expected duration of 12-18 months, subject to learner progress, plus End Point Assessment. You will have 20% of your working week protected for off-the-job training.
