Abbott seeks a dynamic Sales Development Manager to drive business growth across India for our ANI International Nutrition division. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, this is a full-time, on-site position with significant field responsibility.

Position Summary

Join Abbott's sales force as a Sales Development Manager responsible for expanding our nutrition portfolio across the region. You will lead prospecting initiatives, cultivate client relationships, and create qualified opportunities for our sales team. With 75% of your time spent in the field meeting healthcare professionals and institutional partners, you will be the face of Abbott's commitment to better nutrition solutions across India.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and engage prospective customers within the nutrition and healthcare sectors across your territory
  • Conduct needs assessments and position Abbott's nutrition solutions to drive adoption
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities through consistent outreach and relationship management
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to ensure seamless handoffs and deal progression
  • Gather market intelligence and competitive insights to inform strategic sales initiatives
  • Represent Abbott professionally during field visits and industry engagement
  • Track activities, forecasts, and outcomes using sales management systems

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales development, business development, or field sales roles
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and close new business opportunities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; regional language proficiency is a plus
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Comfort with regular travel and field-based work (75% of time)
  • Familiarity with sales processes, CRM systems, and sales reporting
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
