A Client of Analytics Vidhya is seeking a Data Scientist with 2 years of professional experience to strengthen its analytical capabilities in Delhi, India. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on impactful predictive models in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Position Summary

Join our focused data science team, working directly under the Chief Risk Officer and company cofounder. As a Data Scientist, you will enhance and optimise our existing predictive models and assessment frameworks that drive critical business decisions. You'll own model improvement initiatives, working with real-world datasets to deliver measurable gains in performance and accuracy. This role emphasises both technical rigour and practical business impact, offering genuine responsibility from day one.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the admit predictor model, improving its predictive accuracy and operational robustness
• Enhance the employability assessment model through feature engineering and algorithmic optimisation
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and statistical testing to identify enhancement opportunities and validate analytical hypotheses
• Collaborate with leadership to translate business objectives into quantifiable analytical goals
• Build, validate, and test machine learning models using rigorous evaluation methods and clean datasets
• Document model development workflows and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or related quantitative roles
• Proficiency in Python or R, with demonstrated ability to write clean, production-quality code
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and exploratory analysis
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical concepts, and model evaluation techniques
• Experience with hypothesis testing and quantitative problem-solving
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience
