About This Opportunity
We are representing a leading global media and marketing organisation seeking a Director of Analytics to join their Data, Technology & Analytics capability in London. Our client operates at the intersection of AI-driven media planning, advanced data platforms, and scaled marketing activation across multiple international markets.
This is a senior analytics leadership role focused on supporting a major global consumer goods client. You'll drive the analytics strategy, manage reporting solutions, and identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and analytical techniques for business growth. The position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on technical expertise, with responsibility for team development and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary analytics liaison between agency teams and the client, identifying analytical requirements, solving business challenges, and defining analysis roadmaps
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to client stakeholders through compelling storytelling and data visualization
- Lead coordination and collaboration across functions and markets, working with local planning teams to develop, pilot, and maintain Business Intelligence projects
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to modernize data collection, processing, and analytics infrastructure
- Develop templates, frameworks, and automation processes for digital data to enable consistent understanding of media performance across markets
- Lead pilot projects, testing initiatives, and case studies; share learnings and best practices globally
- Foster collaboration across internal teams including activation, channel specialists, and account management to integrate analytics throughout client engagement
- Manage and develop direct reports through regular development conversations, formal reviews, mentoring, and training plans
- Ensure data accuracy through clear processes, governance principles, and appropriate technology implementation
- Advance the analytics offering in forecasting, attribution, machine learning, and AI-driven process improvement
What We're Looking For
Required Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience working within communications agencies and/or client organisations, ideally in international or multi-market environments
- Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent senior client and stakeholder management skills
- Outstanding communication abilities and exceptional attention to detail
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive improvement and positive change
- Desire to define and implement creative solutions to complex client challenges
- Familiarity with data visualization technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Experience with reporting tools including Microsoft Excel and Google Looker Studio
- Knowledge of data warehouse tools like Google BigQuery
- Understanding of measurement platforms including Google Campaign Manager and Google Analytics
- Ability to build effective partnerships with stakeholders across clients, agencies, and specialist organizations
- Leadership experience developing team members' technical expertise, analytical thinking, and client communication skills
- Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
