About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global media and advertising organization seeking a Director of Solutions Development to lead performance marketing innovation in their London office. This is a strategic leadership role focused on building cutting-edge lower-funnel performance capabilities in social and programmatic channels.

Our client operates at the intersection of media, data, and technology, delivering AI-driven solutions for leading brands worldwide. This role offers the chance to shape the future of performance marketing delivery while working across cross-functional teams in a matrixed, enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of best-in-market performance capabilities for social media (priority) and programmatic display channels, ensuring solutions align with client needs and cross-channel use cases
• Act as the strategic thought leader for innovation in performance delivery, understanding competitive landscapes and shaping solution differentiation
• Direct cross-functional working groups bringing together media, technology, marketing science, planning, and activation teams to deliver prioritized developments
• Engage with senior stakeholders to drive ideas, influence strategy, and articulate the value of proposed performance solutions
• Network with practitioners across the organization to ensure deep understanding of how channels are planned, activated, and measured
• Oversee commercial and compliance aspects of channel solutions, including pricing, margin setting, and market fit
• Develop and deliver channel roadmaps, manage solution materials, and troubleshoot business challenges to enhance the integrated portfolio
• Lead channel innovation using structured frameworks to evaluate desirability, feasibility, and viability
• Influence the broader portfolio by defining and championing lower-funnel performance delivery aligned with measurement and effectiveness standards

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of performance marketing experience in media, with proven expertise in social media and/or programmatic trading
• Strong understanding of digital media from both media and technical perspectives, with established relationships with adtech/martech partners
• Deep performance marketing craft knowledge and industry point of view
• Entrepreneurial attitude with a portfolio demonstrating ability to recognize and develop new client solutions ahead of market maturity
• Project management experience or accreditation to effectively manage cross-functional teams and complex developments
• Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects to multiple deadlines simultaneously
• Confidence engaging with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence strategic direction
• Strategic thinking combined with tactical execution capabilities
• Experience working in matrixed organizations across data, technology, planning, and activation functions
