About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading international engineering consultancy with a strong presence in Berlin. Our client specializes in sustainable building services design and works on high-profile projects across Germany and internationally. They are seeking a recent Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their building services team and contribute to innovative, energy-efficient building solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified engineer passionate about HVAC, plumbing, and building systems to develop their career in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment working on meaningful projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and design of building services systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and special installations
• Develop technical concepts for mechanical and sanitary systems
• Perform technical calculations and system sizing
• Create and maintain BIM models and technical documentation
• Assist with tender preparation and procurement processes
• Coordinate technical interfaces with other disciplines
• Collaborate with architects, clients, and interdisciplinary planning teams as needed
• Support the development of sustainable and energy-efficient building concepts

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or comparable qualification
• Knowledge of relevant German technical standards and regulations (HOAI cost groups 410, 420, 430, 470)
• Initial professional experience in a planning or engineering office is advantageous but not required
• Basic understanding of relevant codes and standards
• Interest in BIM methodologies; ideally some experience with Revit and/or MagiCAD
• Enthusiasm for innovative and sustainable building services
• Strong teamwork skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
• Excellent communication skills in German; English proficiency is a plus
