Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences – Frankfurt, Germany

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential audio-technology company seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Core Experiences Team in Frankfurt. In this role, you will build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power product experiences across multiple platforms.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with product teams to scope projects, reduce complexity for faster customer feedback, and navigate integration and UX tradeoffs across different platforms
• Optimizing existing functionality to improve performance metrics like loading speed and parsing intelligence through more efficient abstractions and algorithm improvements
• Shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin
• Designing clear, reliable APIs and maintainable systems that directly enhance user experience
• Working at the intersection of product and infrastructure to deliver strategic technical solutions

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Systems thinking: Understanding that optimizing systems requires end-to-end design with a focus on simplicity
• Speed and execution: Ability to generate ideas quickly and make sound decisions about what can ship immediately versus what needs more time
• Focus and discipline: Strong ability to manage attention in a fast-paced, remote startup environment—knowing when to engage with the team and when to work independently
• Collaboration skills: Experience working effectively with opinionated designers, marketers, and product managers
• Technical expertise: Strong experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but the role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform)
• Bonus: Prior experience with GCP is a plus
• Senior-level experience building cross-platform SDKs and foundational services

Pay
