Technical Program Manager III, Resource Planning, Cloud Storage

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization in their search for a Technical Program Manager III focused on resource planning and storage systems. This is a strategic role based in Sunnyvale, California, where you'll drive cross-functional initiatives that ensure optimal capacity and resource allocation across large-scale distributed systems.

Our talent team is working exclusively with this client to identify an experienced technical program manager who can translate complex engineering requirements into executable plans while coordinating with multiple stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead resource planning initiatives for cloud storage infrastructure, forecasting capacity needs and coordinating allocation across engineering teams
• Partner with engineering, operations, and finance to develop and maintain multi-quarter resource models
• Drive program execution from requirements gathering through delivery, managing dependencies and mitigating risks
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting systems to track resource utilization, efficiency metrics, and program health
• Facilitate technical design reviews and capacity planning sessions with senior engineering leadership
• Develop process improvements and automation to streamline resource planning workflows
• Communicate program status, blockers, and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of technical program management experience in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or storage technologies
• Strong understanding of resource planning, capacity modeling, and infrastructure scaling principles
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with multiple engineering teams
• Experience with data analysis and building metrics frameworks for operational decision-making
• Technical background with understanding of storage systems, distributed computing, or site reliability engineering
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Proficiency with project management tools and data visualization platforms
