Frontend Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology company building the next generation of productivity applications. Our client is reimagining how billions of users interact with everyday tools by making AI a native, proactive part of communication and organization workflows.

As a Frontend Engineer, you will build core web experiences across multiple product surfaces including chat, document editing, calendaring, and collaborative workspaces. This is a hands-on role where you'll own complex, highly interactive features from architecture through implementation, working closely with product, design, backend, and AI engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and own major web experiences across chat, notes, calendar, documents, and spreadsheet applications
• Develop complex interactions including real-time messaging, collaborative editing, rich-text editing, scheduling interfaces, and data tables
• Create reusable frontend architecture and component systems that work consistently across multiple applications
• Integrate streaming AI responses and model-driven experiences directly into product workflows
• Own frontend performance, responsiveness, reliability, and accessibility across browsers and devices
• Collaborate with product and design teams to rapidly move ideas from prototype to production
• Ensure complex interactions like group messaging, real-time editing, and scheduling feel fast and reliable

What We're Looking For

• Strong production experience building complex web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend technologies
• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, state management, browser APIs, and performance optimization
• Proven experience building highly interactive products such as chat applications, collaboration tools, productivity software, document editors, calendars, or workspaces
• Experience with real-time systems, WebSockets, streaming APIs, or collaborative interfaces
• Strong product and UI judgment with exceptional attention to interaction details
• Ability to independently own features from technical design through production launch
• Technical stack familiarity: TypeScript, React.js/Next.js, HTML/CSS, WebSockets/streaming APIs, Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs
