BSA Specialist I – Alerts Team

Wintrust is hiring a BSA Specialist I to join the Alerts Team at our Rosemont, IL office. In this full-time position, you'll support the bank's compliance function by monitoring, investigating, and managing Bank Secrecy Act alerts that flag potentially suspicious financial activity.

About the Role

As a member of Wintrust's Alerts Team, you'll play a key part in maintaining regulatory compliance and safeguarding the institution. You'll work with transaction monitoring systems and internal data to identify and investigate alerts that require escalation or reporting. This is an entry-level compliance role ideal for someone beginning a career in financial crime prevention or regulatory compliance.

Core Duties

• Review and investigate alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems
• Assess alert data to determine if suspicious activity requires escalation or regulatory reporting
• Document investigation findings and maintain accurate, complete records
• Prepare reports on alert activity, trends, and resolution status
• Support compliance initiatives and assist senior team members with ad-hoc projects
• Stay current with Bank Secrecy Act requirements and related regulations

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or college coursework preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large datasets
• Organized, analytical thinking and sound judgment in interpreting financial data
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow compliance procedures and escalation protocols
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new software systems
• Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality
