About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential social care organization seeking a Business Development Manager for Adult Services in the North of England. This is a home-based role with regional travel requirements throughout the northern region.
In this position, you will collaborate with operational management, divisional directors, finance teams, and executive leadership to market and develop services across various care settings. Your primary focus will be driving occupancy rates, managing the referral process end-to-end, and building strong relationships with local and health commissioning authorities.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with registered managers to support and optimize the complete referral process
- Develop and maintain relationships with local authority and health commissioning bodies
- Oversee contract bids, tenders, and frameworks to align services with strategic objectives
- Drive occupancy rates across multiple social care settings in the region
- Act as a key representative, promoting organizational values and standards with stakeholders
- Support marketing initiatives and contribute to public relations activities
- Collaborate with finance teams to establish appropriate fee structures and payment terms
- Identify and develop new service opportunities within adult social care
- Present services and capabilities to commissioners and key decision-makers
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within residential care settings
- Specific background working with young adults or complex care services
- Demonstrated track record in developing new services and tendering for properties
- Strong experience collaborating with commissioners and local authorities
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with internal and external professionals
- Deep understanding of adult social care services and the regulatory landscape
- Strong leadership capabilities and business development acumen
- Ability to travel throughout the North of England region regularly

Pay
