Strategic Finance Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential hospitality technology client operating across multiple international markets. They are seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to join their London team and build the financial infrastructure that supports rapid global expansion.

This is a high-impact role working directly with senior leadership to establish financial systems, controls and insights. You will own essential processes across accounting, analysis, reconciliation and reporting while gaining exposure to the full business operation. For the right candidate, this represents a clear pathway toward Head of Finance or CFO-track positions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day financial controls and reporting, ensuring accuracy and reliability across all management numbers
• Reconcile payments from multiple distribution platforms and direct bookings, confirming receipt and timing of all expected funds
• Manage bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Oversee statutory filings and corporate compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisers, auditors and banking partners
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools providing real-time visibility into company performance
• Create and maintain budgets, forecasts and financial models
• Evaluate financial results across properties, cities and business units to identify performance trends
• Track cash flow and support planning for future funding and capital requirements
• Identify financial risks, discrepancies and revenue leakage opportunities
• Partner with operational teams to understand and reduce property-level costs
• Contribute to financial due diligence for acquisitions and market expansion
• Identify and implement automation opportunities for manual finance processes
• Communicate findings and recommendations directly to founders and senior management

What We're Looking For

• Highly analytical individual comfortable working extensively with numbers
• Exceptional attention to detail with uncompromising approach to financial accuracy
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts and financial principles
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• Strong capabilities in financial reconciliation, controls and problem-solving
• Commercial mindset—able to interpret figures and understand business implications
• Strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability
• Confidence to work independently and navigate unfamiliar challenges
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments where priorities evolve quickly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Genuine interest in technology, automation and AI applications in finance
• Ambition to grow quickly and assume greater responsibility
• Experience in accounting, audit, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, consulting, hospitality, real estate or high-growth startups highly valuable
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics or analytical discipline preferred (exceptional candidates from other backgrounds encouraged to apply)
