Senior Strategic Project Manager (Relocation to Luxembourg)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Strategic Project Manager to join their Office of the CEO in Luxembourg. This is a relocation opportunity for an experienced project leader who thrives in regulated financial environments and can drive complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across international teams.

Our client is a fast-growing financial services platform operating across multiple European markets. You'll work at the intersection of executive strategy, regulatory compliance, and operational execution—serving as the critical bridge between leadership vision and on-the-ground delivery across distributed offices.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of critical cross-functional strategic initiatives from the Office of the CEO, coordinating across operational, regulatory, product, and business teams
• Act as strategic project leader for complex multi-hub initiatives, establishing governance frameworks, tracking milestones, and removing cross-departmental bottlenecks
• Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure regulatory and supervisory requirements are proactively integrated into project roadmaps at the design stage
• Manage relationships with C-level stakeholders and serve as a thought partner to executive leadership on strategic priorities
• Develop data-backed solutions to complex business challenges while maintaining a user-first approach
• Provide crisp, data-driven reporting to executive leadership on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies
• Ensure financial institution governance requirements harmonize seamlessly with group-wide strategy and product velocity
• Introduce new methodologies, best practices, and frameworks to enhance project delivery across the organization

What We're Looking For

• 6–7+ years of hands-on experience within regulated environments—ideally high-growth fintech, scale-ups, EMI/banking institutions, or financial services
• Deep familiarity with compliance, legal, and regulatory matters in financial services contexts
• Proven track record managing complex, end-to-end multi-stakeholder initiatives using structured project management frameworks
• Good working knowledge of the fintech landscape, EMI/payment institution dynamics, and European financial regulation (PSD2/PSD3, AML/CFT, GDPR)
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus and align priorities across distributed international teams and matrixed organizations
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to synthesize technical, operational, and regulatory concepts into clear executive-level narratives
• Willingness to relocate to Luxembourg with frequent travel to other European offices for hands-on collaboration
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Italian is a strong asset
• Executive presence and ability to influence major decisions through in-depth analysis and proven insights
