Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential insurance organization seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Lost Time Benefit Coordinator with Virginia jurisdictional expertise. In this role, you will:

• Analyze and adjudicate Virginia Lost Time Workers Compensation claims to determine benefits due
• Develop and execute well-structured action plans to resolve claims appropriately and promptly
• Investigate and gather information to assess claim exposure and liability
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority limits
• Communicate claim status and processing updates with claimants and clients professionally
• Report claims to excess carriers and respond to direction requests in a timely manner
• Ensure ongoing claim adjudication meets service expectations, industry best practices, and client requirements

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Required: 4 years of claims management experience
• Required: Virginia jurisdictional knowledge and experience
• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Preferred: Professional certification applicable to workers compensation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Capacity to manage work-related stress effectively
