Position Summary

SGS is seeking an experienced Environmental Monitoring Inspector – Lead to oversee environmental inspection and testing activities in our Callao operations. In this leadership capacity, you will drive quality assurance protocols, coordinate field monitoring programs, and maintain the highest standards of environmental compliance. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, requiring both deep knowledge of environmental testing procedures and the ability to guide colleagues through complex inspection protocols.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive environmental monitoring and inspection activities using recognized testing methodologies and equipment
• Lead field teams through environmental testing procedures, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
• Document findings, prepare detailed inspection reports, and maintain accurate records of all testing activities
• Identify non-conformances and collaborate with stakeholders to develop corrective actions and improvement plans
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and clients to communicate environmental assessment results and maintain compliance status
• Train and mentor junior inspectors, establishing consistent best practices across environmental monitoring operations
• Troubleshoot field challenges and adapt testing protocols as needed to meet site-specific requirements

What You Bring

• Proven experience as an environmental inspector or in environmental quality assurance and field testing roles
• Demonstrated leadership ability and experience mentoring or coordinating inspection teams
• Strong knowledge of environmental monitoring standards, methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Technical proficiency with environmental testing equipment and data collection systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to prepare clear, professional inspection documentation
• Physical capability to perform outdoor field work in various weather conditions
• Attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to safety and accuracy in all inspection activities
