SGS is hiring a Junior Environmental Monitoring Inspector in Callao, Peru for a full-time position dedicated to field-based environmental inspection and quality assurance work.

Position Summary

As a Junior Environmental Monitoring Inspector with SGS, you'll support our environmental compliance and quality assurance team by conducting on-site inspections, monitoring operations, and collecting critical environmental data. This hands-on role combines fieldwork with technical documentation, allowing you to develop expertise in environmental standards, inspection protocols, and quality control methodologies in one of the region's most important industrial sectors.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform systematic field inspections and environmental monitoring at designated sites in and around Callao
• Collect, document, and prepare environmental samples and data according to established protocols
• Verify compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and quality standards
• Operate and maintain field inspection equipment and monitoring instruments
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain organized site documentation
• Assist in quality assurance procedures and testing activities
• Communicate findings clearly with supervisors and stakeholders
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in all fieldwork

Qualifications

• High school diploma or secondary education equivalent
• Background or studies in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology, or a related technical field
• Physical ability to work in outdoor environments and varied field conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
• Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures precisely
• Basic proficiency with data collection tools and technical equipment
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Reliability and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
