Care Assistant- Weekends

Home Instead is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide compassionate support and assistance to clients in the Ashford area and beyond. This is a full-time, remote-based role offering weekend shifts for someone ready to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

About This Position

As a weekend Care Assistant with Home Instead, you'll join a trusted provider of homecare services across England. Your role will involve visiting clients in their homes during weekend hours to deliver person-centred support and assistance with daily living activities. You'll work independently whilst being part of a supportive team, adapting to individual client needs and maintaining the high standards of care Home Instead is known for.

What You'll Do

• Assist clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, and grooming
• Support mobility and movement to reduce risk of falls
• Help with household tasks including meal preparation and light cleaning
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Maintain detailed records and communicate changes to the care team
• Respect client dignity and promote independence in all interactions
• Follow individualised care plans and health and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Genuine compassion and patience with older adults or vulnerable individuals
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• Physical capability to assist with personal care and mobility support
• Strong communication and reliability
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check and undergo background screening
• Ability to travel between client homes in the Ashford area
