Home Instead is recruiting a Care Assistant (Days) in New Romney, England, GB. This is a full-time position with a respected home care provider, where you'll deliver personalised support and companionship to clients throughout the local community.

Position Summary

As a Care Assistant, you'll be the trusted everyday contact for clients who wish to receive care and assistance in the comfort of their own homes. Working during day shifts, you'll provide essential practical and emotional support, helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. This is a role that demands genuine compassion alongside reliability and a real commitment to person-centred care.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care including washing, dressing, and grooming routines
• Support meal preparation and help ensure clients receive proper nutrition
• Carry out light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean home environment
• Provide meaningful companionship and engagement to support emotional wellbeing
• Help with mobility and safe movement around the home
• Monitor and report on client wellbeing, communicating regularly with supervisors
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding and duty of care standards
• Treat all clients with respect, maintaining their privacy and dignity at all times

Skills & Qualifications

• Genuine care and commitment to supporting vulnerable, older, or disabled individuals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physical fitness and confidence supporting clients with personal care and mobility
• Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility with day shift scheduling
• Willingness to undertake training and obtain required certifications
• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining open team communication
• UK driving licence (preferred, for travel between client locations)
