Benefits Configuration Analyst

We are representing a confidential health technology client in their search for a Benefits Configuration Analyst. This role sits at the intersection of pharmacy benefits operations and technology implementation, supporting the delivery of high-quality benefit plan configuration and management. Our talent team is seeking an experienced professional who can manage complex benefit structures while collaborating across multiple departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pharmacy benefit plans across various platforms for assigned client groups
• Work directly with stakeholders to identify and understand benefit plan requirements and specifications
• Monitor and maintain plan data integrity, ensuring accurate benefit configuration and organizational structure
• Maintain prior authorizations and step therapy rules in accordance with clinical guidelines
• Support client transitions and formulary updates as directed by clinical teams
• Conduct go-live testing, post-implementation auditing, and provide support during new client implementations
• Collaborate with member support and customer success teams to resolve benefit-related inquiries in a timely manner
• Provide troubleshooting support for claims adjudication processes
• Communicate project status effectively and escalate issues when appropriate
• Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in payer/claims and benefit configuration required
• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication abilities across multiple formats: face-to-face meetings, conference calls, and written correspondence
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to make informed decisions and find creative approaches to complex challenges
• Solutions-oriented problem solver with an execution-focused, efficiency-driven approach
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced technology environment
• Proven ability to deliver on commitments and respond effectively under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
