Seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join Mindful Support Services in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems.
Position Summary

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions meet business needs.
- Lead the development and maintenance of our database systems, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new database solutions, ensuring they align with our strategic goals.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design and implement database schemas and models to support business operations.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate controls and policies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, recommending and implementing solutions.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including schema diagrams, data dictionaries, and performance metrics.
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior database engineers.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Engineer or related role.
- Expertise in database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and database design principles.
- Experience with database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery processes.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Python for database automation.
- Knowledge of cloud database services and experience with AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
