Mila – Institut québécois d'intelligence artificielle is seeking a Brand Manager (Responsable, image de marque) for a full-time position based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. You'll lead the development and evolution of our brand identity, ensuring cohesive communication of Mila's mission and values across all touchpoints.
Role Overview
As Brand Manager at Mila, you will be the steward of our institutional identity in Quebec's AI research ecosystem. You'll shape how we're perceived by researchers, partners, government, industry, and the public — guiding strategy, standards, and storytelling to reflect our commitment to advancing artificial intelligence for the benefit of society. This is a leadership role where creativity, strategic thinking, and attention to detail converge.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines, visual identity systems, and tone-of-voice standards for all communications
- Oversee the creation and deployment of marketing materials, website content, social media, and internal communications
- Collaborate with research, operations, and executive teams to ensure brand consistency and alignment with institutional priorities
- Manage brand assets, digital archives, and design workflows across departments
- Monitor brand perception and reputation; identify opportunities to strengthen positioning
- Contribute to strategic communications around research breakthroughs, partnerships, and organizational milestones
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in brand management, corporate communications, or marketing strategy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement cohesive brand strategies
- Proficiency with design software and digital platforms
- Project management capabilities and cross-functional collaboration experience
- Understanding of or interest in artificial intelligence, research, or the technology sector
- Strategic mindset with attention to detail and consistency
