The Davey Tree Expert Company is hiring a Landscape Crew Lead in Solon, Ohio to lead and develop high-performing teams delivering exceptional landscape services to residential and commercial clients in the Cuyahoga County area.

About the Role

As Landscape Crew Lead at Davey Tree, you'll manage daily landscape operations, oversee crew performance, and ensure every project meets our quality and safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Solon where you'll report directly to management and coordinate with other teams across our local operations. You'll be hands-on with your crew while directing workflow, managing resources, and maintaining the high-quality standards that make Davey Tree the trusted leader in landscape services across North America.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise landscape crews on installation and maintenance projects
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company standards on every job site
• Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and crew scheduling
• Maintain quality control and inspect finished work before client handoff
• Communicate directly with clients to understand project requirements and address concerns
• Train and mentor crew members to develop skills and reinforce safety practices
• Operate landscape equipment and machinery as needed
• Report project status and crew performance to management

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience leading landscape or grounds maintenance crews
• Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, plant materials, and installation techniques
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work effectively
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Physical capability to perform landscape work and heavy lifting
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
