Role Overview

As a Catering Service Worker at Wayne State University, you'll be essential to Sodexo's catering operations. You'll help create memorable events—from intimate departmental gatherings to large university functions—by ensuring every guest receives attentive, professional service. Your flexibility, reliability, and positive energy will be key to supporting the Wayne County campus community.

What You'll Do

• Prepare catering stations, arrange food displays, and maintain attractive service areas
• Deliver warm, professional service to guests at university events and functions
• Clear, reset, and prepare dining spaces between service periods
• Maintain exceptional food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Stock, monitor, and replenish supplies and serving equipment throughout your shift
• Collaborate seamlessly with catering, kitchen, and event teams
• Support events of all sizes, from small meetings to campus-wide celebrations
