Role Overview

As Assistant Registrar for Scheduling & Academic Progress, you will serve as a vital operational leader within the Office of the University Registrar. This role combines strategic responsibility for academic scheduling with oversight of student academic progress tracking and registry operations. You will work directly with faculty, students, and administrative leadership to ensure smooth academic operations and support student success through effective scheduling and progress monitoring systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage academic course scheduling across all terms, balancing student needs with faculty availability and facility constraints
  • Monitor and support student academic progress, coordinating with advisors and student success initiatives
  • Maintain accurate academic records and registry information in compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee degree audits and student progress toward graduation milestones
  • Collaborate with academic departments and the registrar's office team on scheduling policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance to students and advisors regarding academic progression and degree requirements
  • Support special registration initiatives and address scheduling conflicts or academic progress concerns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of experience in higher education administration, student services, or academic affairs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic scheduling systems, student information systems, or degree audit software
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
