Manager II, Human Resources at BAE Systems — Endicott, Broome County

Join BAE Systems' Human Resources team as a Manager II, based in Endicott, Broome County. We're seeking an experienced HR leader to help build and support the workforce that develops advanced communication and electronic warfare systems for the U.S. Department of Defense and international partners. As a full-time member of our HR management team, you'll play a key role in attracting, developing, and retaining the talent that drives our mission in aerospace and defense innovation.

The Opportunity

Lead Human Resources at a mission-driven aerospace and defense organization where people enable innovation. At BAE Systems, our workforce is fundamental to delivering critical defense technologies. As a Manager II in Human Resources, you'll drive HR strategy and operations across our Endicott team. You'll partner with senior leadership to ensure we recruit exceptional talent, build a strong workplace culture, and execute HR excellence across all people-focused initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Direct HR strategy, planning, and execution across talent acquisition, employee relations, and workforce development
• Build and supervise an HR team, or manage multiple functional HR areas
• Spearhead recruitment initiatives to hire skilled professionals for technical and operational positions
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and defense industry employment regulations
• Create and execute programs that boost employee engagement, development, and retention
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR priorities with business objectives and organizational culture
• Oversee compensation, benefits administration, and employee relations processes

What We're Looking For

• 5 or more years of Human Resources management with progressive levels of responsibility
• Demonstrated success leading HR teams and managing diverse HR functions
• Thorough understanding of employment law, EEOC compliance, and federal contractor requirements
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels
• Background in manufacturing, defense, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries (preferred)
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms and HR reporting tools
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
• Ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance (an advantage)
