Director Engineering Operations Leader

Honeywell is seeking a Director Engineering Operations Leader to lead operational strategy, drive performance improvements, and ensure execution discipline across engineering teams in Atlanta, Fulton County. About This Position

As Director of Engineering Operations, you'll design and execute operational strategies that enable engineering excellence and support business growth. You'll drive continuous improvement in processes, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that engineering operations translate into measurable business outcomes. This role is central to working closely with Finance, Product Operations, and key stakeholders to build an effective operating model that supports the organization's strategic goals and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering operations teams to drive continuous improvement in processes, efficiency, and delivery discipline
• Develop and execute operational strategies that align engineering capabilities with corporate business objectives
• Partner with Finance and Product Operations to oversee budgets, resource allocation, and planning for engineering initiatives
• Establish performance metrics and accountability frameworks that track operational productivity and business impact
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, and operations teams to accelerate decision-making and execution
• Drive operational excellence through process optimization, technology enablement, and organizational design

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing operations, engineering, or related functions within a complex, global organization
• Strong understanding of engineering operations, product development, and operational metrics
• Experience partnering with Finance and cross-functional teams to align operations with business strategy
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational change at scale
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
